Welcome weary traveller. Please feel free to kick your boots off, find an armchair near the fire, and help yourself to some tea.
This site is where I will be collecting and presenting the evidence and reflections for my CMALT (Certified Member of the Association of Learning Technologists) portfolio. It’s something I’ve been keen to do for a while, as so much of my work rests on being seen as knowing what I’m talking about, and having the evidence to back that up.
Some folk do that with mighty academic credentials, some with decades of chin-to-the-grindstone experience beneath their belts – in my case I’ll be looking to put professional nuggets before a jury of my peers, and see if I am deemed worthy of joining the ancient membership of ALT.
If you have stumbled across this portfolio while trying to find something a bit more podcasty, perhaps pedagogy focused and with a pop culture core, then fear not. You can follow this link to the Pedagodzilla Podcast.
You can use the ‘Portfolio‘ menu to navigate through the core areas, and their respective subsections. Each area starts with a discussion on my top-level practice and history in the area, followed by a reflection on the journey and what I've learnt along the way. Specific examples and supporting evidence, as well as discussions on specific impact, can be found in a series of collapsible groups following the reflections. Each page ends with a sense-check mapping of what has been discussed against the CMALT framework.
I declare that, to the best of my knowledge, the statements and evidence included in this submission accurately describe my practice and are drawn from my own work, with the input and support of others duly and clearly recognised.
