For ease of re-reviewing, I've collated a changelog of what I've updated since the initial submission. This includes responses to some of the specific feedback suggestions. I've referenced the feedback from assessor one in most instances, as actioning it in most cases actions both assessors comments.
All text reviewed, with majority of sections tweaked to reduce rambliness and dial things back where the ludic aspect was interfering with getting the message across. Haven't completely stripped it out though, because hopefully it keeps it interesting and makes it feel more human.
Clearer discussion of impact added to all relevant evidence/examples within the collapsible groups
Specific contributions in each area better specified in discussions
Have drawn in experience from new Senior Learning Designer role where appropriate
Responding to feedback from assessor two, have tweaked discussions, phrasing and evidence titles to draw clearer links between what is being discussed in all sections, and the supporting evidence.
Line spacing increased across all body text to improve readability
All 'flavour' images replaced (Craiyon.ai ones looked a bit too rubbish) with more advanced AI generated imagery to better fit overall aesthetic.
Some broken external hyperlinks fixed.
Added a 'terminology' section to clear up potential areas of misunderstanding.
1a) Responding to feedback: ...'for a strong pass, I would be looking for you to consider: Why did you pick one tool over another? Why did you advise to use one tool over another tool for a specific practice? What was the impact of your decision on the teaching method or on the students?'
Difficult to provide evidence of a specific example (usually module focused and discussion based), so have instead added additional evidence and discussion around my work supporting module teams and Learning Designer colleagues in understanding the affordances and challenges of different tools - which in turn helps select the right one for their use case.
1b) Responding to feedback: '...Make it clear how the technology you discuss is being used for learning and/or teaching'...
Rejiggered whole section, and added a summary on how it comes together to impact learning and teaching.
Added a more recent example of a custom AI model I've prototyped to improve our knowledge management, and discussed the implications for learning and teaching. Very exciting!
1c) Responding to feedback: 'For a strong pass, I would have looked for a specific example of when you developed a strategic plan and the impact of that plan on staff or students.'
Tweaks to whole section to better emphasise impact and planning.
Added a copy of my case study to the evidence section, which covers my work on the Learning Designer Induction programme - which includes some of the design and strategic planning, evaluation and impact.
2a) Responding to feedback: 'There must be some consideration of how technology is changing / impacting upon approaches to teaching and learning'
Added discussion around how technology is enabling the flipped classroom approach to design facilitation.
Added reflections on the use of technology in online facilitation.
3a) Responding to feedback: 'Examples here are light on what you personally “have” done in the description, and how your actions have impacted on teaching and learning in your context...Consider the specific decisions that you have made, the impact of those decisions on your colleagues, on teaching staff and on the student experience...'
Entire section re-written to focus on my recent work around OfS B3 condition of registration legislation (Student outcomes).
Added new examples, fewer but hopefully richer.
3b) Responding to feedback: 'Would be good to read about specific examples of your engagement with policy here rather than general...'
Big rewrite of this section to focus on internal workload policy. Added specific discussion and examples of my work in this area, and how it impacts overall compliance and the student experience.
4) Responding to feedback: 'For a strong pass, I think giving a specific example (your module mapping example would be great to tease out here), then follow that up with your dissemination of practice...'
Specific example added to evidence section and referenced in discussion, around facilitation and collaboration on new Learning Design induction.
Expanded on dissemination side of things, and the impact of that (broader than the podcast) in both discussion and reflection.
Added several pieces of evidence, including a webinar recording I presented on using podcasting as a tool for professional development.
Responding to general feedback on this area from both assessors:
Reduced specialisms down to one, and renamed to 'Multimedia (and multimodality) enhanced practice' to better encompass what is discussed.
Medium-raw rewrite of section
Significantly reduced discussion around podcasting, and brought it in to this section as a facet of multimedia enhanced practice.
5) Responding to feedback: 'For a strong pass, I think this section would work well with examples of why you would use one approach over the other as a Learning Designer within the OU, or where you have advised a colleague or a module team on an approach, along with the impact of that decision.'
Added discussion on selecting specific approaches to discussion section
Added more specific discussion around impact in description, and evidence sections
General jiggle.
